Westcon Group has announced that Comstor UK has won Cisco’s Distribution Partner of the Year award in the United Kingdom for a record-breaking fifth consecutive year.
Recent sales growth at Comstor has been attributed to their Comstor Mentor Programme (CMP), a focused reseller support initiative that assists selected Cisco Partners in accelerating their engagement, planning and revenue generation. Since its launch in February 2007, CMP has helped 18 partners establish and exceed new standards in Cisco sales excellence, with an average increase in Cisco revenues in excess of 50% year on year.
“This award, combined with our sustained market share leadership position of in excess of sixty percent, confirms Comstor as the pre-eminent choice for resellers, integrators and service providers who want to build and develop their Cisco business,” commented Jon Pritchard, Vice President of Comstor UK and Europe. “Whether in advanced technologies like Unified Communications or key markets like SMB, our commitment to our customers’ success is our motivation.”
Some other areas where Comstor has delivered value to the channel include its Select Bootcamp training programme which has assisted over 110 reseller personnel in attaining the Cisco Select Certification with pass rates consistently averaging over 95%. These Bootcamps develop a partner’s SMB technology and business expertise and help them quickly qualify for the highly recognized Cisco SMB specialisation, Select.
Comstor also continues to invest in a services model that provides the highest levels of technical expertise and training to its customers in a uniquely accessible form. 2007 saw the introduction of three new nationwide training venues and the development of the strongest professional services team in UK distribution.
Jonathan Pickering, Managing Director of Block Solutions and a Mentor Programme participant commented; “As a growing Cisco partner, Comstor’s support and drive has been a major factor in establishing our reputation with Cisco. Our partnership with them has led to accreditation, training, professional services support and excellent account management. This has given us the ability to succeed in an increasingly competitive market.”
