Focus Group on Rebranding, Relocation, Expansion & Ambitions.

The Focus Group who have just moved from Hove Technology Centre after seven years and relocated to Europa House in Southwick is one of the UK’s leading telecommunications service providers

After purchasing Europa House, the company completed a major refurbishment to the 9,000 sq ft of office space, to include a demonstration suite and a state of the art training facility. Established in 2003, Focus began trading in 2004 with just two employees but has since gone from strength to strength predominately in the fixed line service. Currently they have a customer base of about 5,000 UK businesses with a turnover of about £12M and employs about 60 staff with a goal of increasing that to 100 in the foreseeable future.

In recognition of its continued growth, the Company has been featured in the Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 for its growth in consecutive years. It is ranked 84 in the EMEA 500 across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Focus has recently acquired 47.5% of local IT company, Aztec, which it hopes will help it raise revenues to close to £14M by the end of 2012. The deal saw the Aztec brand removed and merged into its own Focus IT business, enabling it to offer web hosting, design and computer repairs among other services.

Until this year, they were known as Focus 4U while in Hove, but the rebranding has co-incided with the move of premises on the 21st of April

Chris Goodman, Sales Director and co-founder said, “We decided to move away from the consumer sounding Focus 4U to the Focus Group.

The group incorporates six business divisions covering voice, mobile, data, systems, IT, design and energy offering a full one stop solution.

The rebrand was designed to make the company and what it has to offer clearer for customers to understand, with each business colour coded on the newly launched website and to improve the overall image of the company. It’s another reason for relocation.”

“Space is another key reason for moving and the need to create a more appropriate environment for the company we have become”, says Goodman.
