Fone Logistics Goes Green

Mobile distributor, Fone Logistics, has introduced a new company wide paper-recycling scheme with leading recycling company yoyo.

This is a great step to reduce the company’s environmental impact on depleting forests and to ensure less waste is sent to landfill. Fone Logistics is fully committed to 'greener' working practices, and is encouraging all staff to participate fully in using the scheme.

As a launch of the programme, Fone Logistics allowed a dress down day with the only stipulation being employees must wear an item of green!

Yoyo is a revolutionary new way of dealing with paper that saves organisations money and reduces their impact on the environment. For the first time one company can source, deliver, take away and recycle all office paper.

HR Manager Lisa Brennan implemented the project and commented: “I think this is a great initiative and shows the company’s willingness to adopt green polices.”

The scheme was launched on the 19th June and is intended to reduce the company’s general waste by 50% each month.

Fone Logistics has been established since 1996 and is based in Cramlington, Northumberland. The business provides mobile airtime and handsets to the independent dealer market across the UK and also has and on-site mobile repair centre.
