Fourth has been named a cloud leader as a part of Cloudex 20:20, a search for the top 20 independent cloud computing companies in the UK, launched by Clearwater Corporate Finance’s specialist TMT team.
London-based Fourth was named the overall winner from a list of 20 finalists, ahead of Acturis, a software as a service (SaaS) platform for the insurance industry, and the European-wide online restaurant reservations service Livebookings.
Clearwater also selected Farnborough-based Skyscape Cloud Services as the ‘One to Watch’ because of its role played in enabling UK public sector organisations take a more flexible approach to IT to deliver services in a more cost-effective way.
Emma Rodgers said: “We have been really impressed by the quality of cloud technology businesses that were in the running this year. Fourth, Acturis, Livebookings and Skyscape all demonstrated tremendous growth prospects and can deliver services on a global scale.
“The market for cloud technologies continues to grow as businesses realise the huge benefits of using the cloud. It was an honor to showcase some of the most innovative businesses that are among the fastest growing in the sector.”
