Free laptops at Tesco with mobile broadband

Dealers now have competition for mobile broadband customers on the High Street from national supermarket chain, Tesco. Tesco has announced that it will offer mobile broadband to its shoppers for the first time.

Customers can now pick up free laptops and netbooks at Tesco online and selected Tesco Phone Shops as part of a build your own mobile broadband offer.

The deal allows people to choose from over 30 laptops or netbooks coupled with mobile broadband packages from a selection of the leading mobile networks, which Tesco claimed is the largest ‘build your own’ range on offer from any high-street retailer.

Top deals include the Dell Studio XPS 16 coupled with a 24 month 3 mobile broadband package at £29.36 a month, which saves consumers £464 off the retail price.

Alternatively, customers can opt for a free Compaq CQ60-214EM boasting 3GB of RAM and a 250GB Hard Drive for £34.26 per month on either Orange or 3.

Lance Batchelor, chief executive officer at Tesco Mobile and Tesco Telecoms, commented: “We’re delighted to be able to offer our customers free laptops and netbooks for the very first time. We believe that mobile broadband is going to really take off in 2009 and we want to help our customers get the very best deals, making it easier than ever for them to stay connected wherever they are.”
