Freedom Awarded 4 out of 4 OGCbuying.solutions

Reseller Freedom Communications has been awarded framework agreements within four categories of OGCbuying.solutions’1 new Telecom Networks framework. The Telecom Networks framework agreements allow customers throughout the public sector to place orders with Freedom under the terms and conditions of the agreement saving time and money in the procurement process. This framework runs until 7th January 2012.

Freedom was awarded a framework agreement in all of the categories it applied for. These include Voice Calls & Lines, Point to Point Circuits, Networking Equipment and Structured Cabling. Freedom was also awarded a Catalist2 framework agreement for the supply of Voice Solutions to the public sector in 2006.

The award of these framework agreements is a significant step forward for the business that has been focusing increasingly on the public sector.

Tom Perry, head of marketing, Freedom Communications (UK) Limited, said: “Our focus on the public sector since 2003 is clearly paying off now. We won public sector contracts worth more than half a million pounds in the last year and we are delighted at the outcome of the latest telecoms framework agreement round which gives us the springboard for securing more wide ranging contracts offering fully converged solutions. We look forward to proving to more public sector organisations what a committed and expert partner we are.”

The lots were awarded based on Freedom’s ability to demonstrate the quality of its lines, minutes, cabling, voice-data networking and telecoms solutions. It had to provide examples of successful public sector installations and detail internal processes such as after-sales service and technical support systems within its operations. Freedom’s customers were also approached for comment on the company’s quality of service.
