Freedom Enters Managed Services Market with Alcatel Platform

Watford based reseller Freedom has launched a new managed voice and data service called Continuum, aimed at the SMB sector.

The new service is part of Freedom’s continued drive to introduce convergence solutions into the sector, as it aims to support customers for both their voice and data requirements – Freedom has recently launched its own data division.

Continuum allows customers to upgrade to the latest Alcatel IP-telephony technology with the complete installation of a new Alcatel Omni PCX office system and simply pay a fixed monthly fee per handset, with prices starting at below £10 per month per handset for an entry-level system.

With Freedom’s in-house capability in both voice and data, the package includes CAT 6 cabling, the building of LAN infrastructure and Alcatel IP handsets as required. Project design and training is also included.

For the fixed monthly per handset fee, Freedom promises Continuum customers to maintain and repair any system faults and ensure the software is upgraded to the latest release once each year. Customers only pay for the handsets they need, and can increase or decrease handset numbers at will – Continuum covers all system moves, adds and changes. The fee also includes all BT line rental charges.

Major benefits of Continuum for customers include moving telephony expense from capital to operational expenditure, freeing up of internal resource to specify and maintain a voice system, flexibility to ramp up or cut handset numbers to meet internal demand and the reassurance of worry-free maintenance and automatic upgrading to the latest software.
