Funkwerk Enterprise Communications (FEC) has appointed hardware and software distributor Entatech to distribute its wide range of networking and telecommunications convergence solutions. The announcement comes as part of Funkwerk’s ongoing commitment to expand its share of the UK market and follows the appointment of Northamber towards the end of last year.
Entatech is part of the Enta Group that has rapidly grown from a small family business run from a garage to a national operation with an annual turnover of over £100 million and a 90,000sq ft office complex in Telford, Shropshire.
Enta Technologies will distribute Funkwerk’s full range of professional networking and telecommunications solutions for voice and data convergence. The Funkwerk portfolio covers wireless LANs, IP-based routing, VPNs, Voice-over-IP and Voice-over-VPN (VoVPN), network security solutions, as well as highly integrated PBX systems that support analogue, digital and SIP based IP telephony.
The partnership comes at a significant time within Enta Group as a whole. Entanet, a leading UK business Internet service provider, has recently launched the offering of free VoIP to its customers and from the 5th February, Entatech will be following suit. In addition to Enta Group’s free VoIP offering to its customer database, both Entatech and Entanet have selected the Funkwerk IP-290 VoIP phone to offer alongside this service.
“Funkwerk is already one of Europe’s leading vendors of professional network and telecommunications solutions and we are delighted to be on board to help grow its presence in the UK market,” said Entatech’s Vice President, Jon Atherton. “Funkwerk offers our resellers a single-source for advanced fixed and wireless solutions to meet the growing demand for voice and data convergence, particularly aimed at the SME market. In addition to this, we welcome the opportunity to offer our customers Funkwerk’s IP Phone with our free VoIP account.”
“Enta Technologies has the market knowledge, technical expertise and products that will help resellers to take full advantage of the drive towards convergence,” said Richard Welland at Funkwerk. “We are focused on building our market in the UK and Enta is ideally placed to help us achieve our goals.”
