Gamma Telecom and Exponential-e saw over 30 System Integrators and VARs at their seminar this week at the prestigious Tower 42 venue in London. The breakfast briefing follows a collaboration announcement earlier this year between the two service providers where Gamma’s market leading SIP trunking service, IP DirectConnect, has been made available over Exponential-e’s Ethernet connectivity. The availability of SIP over Ethernet has opened up opportunities for the channel to offer replacement ISDN services and to sell converged voice and data solutions to their customers.
“In the last 18 months we’ve seen significant uptake of SIP Trunks in the enterprise and Government space to the point where we’re now seeing these customers listing SIP trunking as a pre-requisite in their requests for tender,” Commented Alan Mackie, Senior Product Manager at Gamma. “By partnering with Gamma and Exponential-e , System Integrators and VARs can go to their customers and offer high bandwidth that supports all ICT business requirements including voice and data while reducing their existing costs and this provides an important route for the channel to gain competitive advantage that will contribute significantly to their company’s bottom line.”
“We found the morning a useful session and feel going forward working with both Gamma and Exponential-e may enhance our offering of fully converged solutions for our customers requiring ISDN levels of services and high bandwidth internet access,” commented David Bennett, Portfolio Manager at Damovo who attended the event. “It was particularly interesting to hear the positive experiences from another channel partner who has become more profitable by working with Gamma and Exponential-e and to gain a greater understanding where SIP and data services have already been successful in the market.”
