Gamma Launches Next Generation Broadband Service

Gamma has announced the release of its Next Generation Broadband service to the channel. With the new service, Gamma is targeting channel partners who are looking for high quality service and support in return for a mid-range price. Put simply their objective is have the best value broadband service in the market.

By coupling their core Next Generation Network with BT’s Next Generation Access, Gamma is able to provide a comprehensive product set designed to meet the full range of customer bandwidth and utilisation needs. A range of technologies and traffic weighting features (from ADSL 2+ to Annex M) will deliver rates of up to 24MBPS downstream and 2.5MBPS upstream. And underpinning the services is the same technical pedigree that has made Gamma the UK’s leading provider of SIP Trunking.

As with all of Gamma’s products, the new broadband service will be managed via the Gamma portal. However, the day-to-day support of the service will provided via telephone, as standard.

James Bushell, Head of Data Services at Gamma, explains why, “There are a number of support models in the channel that are designed to limit contact with channel partners with the compulsory use of portals. We want to take things back to basics – if you have a support issue, call us, we’re open 24/7, we’ll be responsive and we’ll work with you to get it fixed fast.”

Jeff Highfield, MD of Reefstream will be one of the first Gamma channel partners to use the service, “Gamma launching its own broadband service is great news; their product set meets our customer needs, we like their approach to support and we stand to reduce our support costs by placing broadband with them as well as voice business.”
