Gamma Report Increased SME Activity

As both a SIP Trunk and Hosted IP Telephony provider, Gamma is seeing an increasing number of service connections from channel partners who are providing Telecoms services to small businesses.

Alan Mackie, Senior Product Manager at Gamma told Comms Business Magazine, “Although the overall sales of PBX equipment to small businesses may be down, end customers are still investing in solutions that allow cost reductions and flexibility to support their changing circumstances in today’s economic climate.

For example, we’re seeing a number of small businesses utilising their Communicator Hosted IP service, which is based on Mitel’s 3600 platform, to provide a PBX equivalent solution within a hosted framework. This solution is being used by many small businesses to cost effectively support multiple sites or home workers without the need for a long term commitment to a PBX purchase or lease.

IP Telephony offerings from Gamma also provide the ability for small businesses to downsize their offices or staffing without compromising their customer service by porting their existing numbers to an IP solution. We’ve seen many small businesses such as estate agents and courier companies minimise their overheads by closing premises while maintaining their customer contact staff by supporting them via IP based home and remote working solutions.”
