Gamma Telecom, the voice services applications and solutions provider, has launched version 2.0 of its FeaturePlus hosted IP telephony service. The new version includes a number of enhancements to increase the benefits to the end-users, giving Gamma’s Channel Partners even more selling opportunities.
FeaturePlus, which is sold exclusively through Gamma’s channel partners, has received a phenomenal amount of interest and is currently being offered by over 50 channel partners. To date, FeaturePlus has carried over 100,000 voice minutes. Channel partners at the Soft Switch Shoot Out hosted by Griffin Internet recognised the power of FeaturePlus, as it was the solution behind Gamma being awarded first place against 6 other vendors, in front of 60 Channel providers.
The enhancements in version 2.0 have been developed in response to user and channel partners’ feedback. For the end-users, Gamma has developed a virtual number subscription – an inbound only service – to aid flexible working and provide a real alternative to BT’s call forwarding service, without the need to purchase hardware. Unconditional call divert has been added to complete the call divert feature set, and call history has been enhanced to allow companies to download and analyse their last 3 months of inbound and outbound call data. Other benefits to the end-user include a new on-line HTML help section and increased functionality of the on-line address book.
For the channel partners, Gamma has introduced two new features to help with the provisioning process. An “order status drill down” will help partners to handle and track orders, and a page-level help wizard will assist during the setting up of new accounts or ordering new services.
James Bushell, Senior Product Manager of Gamma Telecom, commented: “The FeaturePlus service has been very well received by our channel partners. We knew when we launched the service that it would enable our partners to bring new functionality to their customers, but they have exceeded our expectations with the creative ways they have found to use FeaturePlus to solve real life business issues. We’re excited to see how they will respond to, and sell, the new enhancements in version 2.0”
