Garlands Call Centres has announced the creation of 100 jobs at its new contact centre site at Market Dock North, South Shields, South Tyneside.
The new positions are for Customer Service Advisors, Technical Advisers, Team Managers and Support Staff, working for an existing Garlands’ client in the telecoms and broadband industry. Recruitment activities start immediately.
“It gives us enormous pleasure to announce the first phase of our recruitment activities in South Shields” said Chey Garland, Chief Executive of Garlands Call Centres. “We will be bringing opportunities for local people to work for blue chip organisations and develop their careers in the customer service industry. We have ambitious plans for 2008 and beyond – and look forward to continuing to build our operations in the North East.”
Construction of the 800 seat, 47,000 sq ft contact centre in South Shields is expected to be completed in April 2008 – with around a thousand people eventually working at the Garlands’ South Shields site.
