Get Connected bucks the trend

Get Connected, one of the UK’s largest independent mobile phone retailers, has announced the opening of five more high street outlets, bucking the economic gloom and creating up to 20 new jobs. This takes the total number of Get Connected stores for the Abergavenny-based company to 47, including three dedicated corporate business centres.

Operating across Wales and the Midlands, Get Connected continues to defy economic forecasts, building an expanding and profitable business with an annual turnover now exceeding £9million. In an industry where customer service has struggled to keep pace with technological advances and phone jargon, the continuing success of Get Connected is largely attributed to a strong customer focus.

“We have developed a clear business model based upon developing long-term customer relationships and that continues to hold us in good stead,” confirmed Damian Cole, managing director at Get Connected. “The latest stores are a mix of leasehold and freehold premises, all in Wales and all offering growth potential within both the retail and corporate sectors.”

The new Get Connected stores are located in Brynmawr, Llanelli, Maesteg, Porth and Wrexham.
