Getronics Appoints new MD

Getronics UK has announced the appointment of one of Europe’s top information communication and technology (ICT) executives as its Managing Director for the UK and Ireland. Mark Kenealy is tasked with completing the process of integrating Getronics and PinkRoccade in the UK, driving growth of the newly enlarged business and leading further acquisition activity. Mark will report directly to Getronics’ Senior Vice President and Chairman UK and Ireland, Stuart Appleton.

Prior to joining Getronics, which is now the world’s largest European-owned ICT services and solutions company following its acquisition of PinkRoccade in March, Mark ran Computacenter’s corporate business in south Germany. Previous roles at Computacenter include heading up the UK commercial sector with responsibility for most of the company’s managed services contracts, as well as helping to grow the UK government business from £60m to £500m. Mark has worked for a number of other leading ICT companies, including Xerox and Siemens Telecom.

“The initial integration of the PinkRoccade business has been completed, leaving Getronics in a prime position in the UK, and I am delighted to have found such a strong leader to take the business forward,” said Stuart Appleton. “Mark’s track record speaks for itself. He brings to Getronics a strong history of leadership, the ability to drive growth and I feel confident that his skills perfectly complement the enlarged Getronics UK.”

“This is a defining period for Getronics,” said Mark Kenealy. “Its enlarged portfolio and best in class ITIL processes make it an attractive proposition as illustrated in the UK by its recent multi-million pound contract wins to provide solutions for Deutsche Bank and Barclays.” Kenealy continued, “I relish the opportunity to drive the new business forward and compete with tier-one players in the ICT solutions and services marketplace.”
