Glide has appointed current Director of Sales and Marketing James Warner as its new Managing Director of its business arm.
Warner was previously at telecoms giant KCOM for 7 years before moving to Glide in April 2017. He has been with the business for almost two years in his current role and now embarks on a new challenge within the business to support its expansion plans.
Glide Business, an internet service provider based in the Midlands previously known as Warwicknet, has grown from a local provider to a national player, almost tripling its coverage from 34,000 to 100,000 within reach of its fibre network. The business is investing heavily in its growth, doubling the number of employees from 40 to over 80 in the last 12 months.
James commented: “I am delighted that I have been promoted to Managing Director of Glide Business. Glide has gone from strength to strength in the last 12 months, investing heavily in its people, our customers and fibre infrastructure, meaning we can continue to deliver superfast and ultrafast services to new locations everyday while still delivering the highest customer support and care. We won the ISPA award for ‘Best Business Broadband’ in 2018, demonstrating our ambition and our capabilities.
“We aim to reach more businesses that currently suffer from a poor internet service and broadband. This is an exciting time for Glide and I have big plans as we aim to continue to grow and develop so that we become a household name within the business broadband sector.”
