Networks & Network Services
GlobalPlatform has announced it will hold a two-day card specification training session at The Mirage Hotel, Las Vegas on 1 and 2 March 2012, to educate participants on the importance of GlobalPlatform Specifications, their capabilities and functionality. The session precedes CARTES North America (5-7 March 2012, Las Vegas) to accommodate delegates that are visiting the region to attend this new industry gathering.

This training session is the sixth that GlobalPlatform, the association which manages the standardization of applications on secure chip technology, has held in the US since launching the program three years ago. Delegates will receive an explanation of GlobalPlatform Card Specifications, including details on secure channels, security domains and application programming interfaces.

Kevin Gillick, Executive Director of GlobalPlatform, comments: “Since launching its card specification training events, GlobalPlatform has continued to receive an overwhelming response from the industry for this specialist knowledge. To meet industry demand, the Las Vegas session will have a mobile focus and detail how GlobalPlatform’s technology outlines a common and neutral environment to facilitate the secure delivery over-the-air of new and creative mobile services to consumers. The session will also shed light on GlobalPlatform definitions and provides students with further information on our role, responsibilities and how GlobalPlatform technology can support recognized business models.”
