GN Announce 9300 Series Headsets

Headset vendor GN Netcom has launched a range of wireless headsets compatible with conventional and IP telephony.

The range includes GN 9350, the industry’s first wireless multi-use headset for both conventional and IP telephony, the GN 9330 for desk phones and the GN 9330 USB for PC-based IP telephony. The GN 9300 series is the latest expansion to GN Netcom’s award-winning portfolio of wireless office headsets.

“The growing use of the mobile phone and Bluetooth headsets in people’s personal lives is boosting the desire for wireless working in their professional lives. People are now looking for the same level of convenience at work as they have outside. They want to multitask, check e-mails while on a conference call or have the freedom to move around the office. Wireless headsets are fast becoming an essential part of the professional lifestyle, and with sleek designs such as the GN 9300 series they are increasingly being used to express yourself,” said Hans Henrik Lund, President and CEO of GN Netcom.

Driven by consumer demand for wireless working, improved efficiency and enhanced personal comfort, the wireless office headset market is growing 50% in units annually.

At the same time the telephony market is going through one of its biggest transitions since the change from analogue to digital telephony, with the market for IP telephony expected to show annual growth rates of 23% (Frost & Sullivan 2005).

The vendor says whether companies are using conventional telephony or looking to install IP telephony, the GN 9300 series will help them realise a much quicker return on their investment, as well as enabling them to enjoy all the benefits that wireless office headsets provide.
