GN Netcom Enters Strategic Relationship with Microsoft

Headset vendor GN Netcom is to work together with Microsoft’s Unified Communications Group to supply office PC peripheral headsets for the rapidly growing market of IP telephony, audio/video/Web conferencing and instant messaging.

According to GN Netcom the global market for headsets is booming and is expected to grow by approx. 25% per annum until 2010, primarily driven by the rapid increase in demand for Bluetooth-enabled products that consumers are using in a wide variety of ways including fixed line and cell phones. In 2005, GN Netcom reached the number one position with a global market share of 35 percent.
