Gradwell Communications has today announced changes to its core senior management team. The company says the reorganisation enables Gradwell to focus on its Cloud, VoIP and Connectivity clients.
After running and growing the business as MD for 17 years, Peter Gradwell (pictured) has now assumed the role of Chief Technical Officer having made this strategic decision in Q4 last year.
To enable this, Gradwell has also consolidated its “run today” and “build tomorrow” activities into a single technology team, some 37 strong, with distinct leaders for software development groups, operations and networks.
Julien St John-Dennis has now joined Gradwell as Head of Product alongside Peter to bring new focus to its products and to lead product development. Julien has in the past held key roles at Virgin Media, NTL Telewest and Nortel.
Nick Thompson has been named Chief Executive Officer to drive forward the company’s strategy and vision across multiple teams. Nick previously held the position of Gradwell’s Chief Operating Officer responsible for sales, marketing and customer service, having joined the company in January 2014 from KC in Hull.
As CIO, Barrie Millet has relinquished his operational responsibilities to focus on Gradwell’s information systems to provide the insight data the business needs to deliver its promise to be simpler to work with as a solution provider.
Huw Williams remains the Finance Director and oversees all aspects of the company’s financial strategy, financial planning, special projects and accounting teams.
Commenting on the changes, Nick Thompson said: “Our board took the very thoughtful approach that our customers, partners and team members want and expect us to move into the next chapter of product innovation. Peter is clearly the best person to revolutionise Gradwell’s solution platforms and has used his core technical skills and entrepreneurial spirit to successfully grow Gradwell into what it is today. My role as CEO will be to spearhead and implement our recently refreshed strategic business plan over the coming years. Peter and I are both proud and excited to enter this phase of Gradwell’s expansion and development.”
