Griffin Continues to Recruit – and Grow

Three new agents with nearly 30 years of broadband experience between them joined Griffin’s technical support in April and offers went out to two prospective product managers. In addition, Griffin is recruiting a new operations director and an engineering manager. The sales team has grown over 20% in the first quarter alone.

John Dawson, Griffin’s Managing Director explains: “We had a record year in 2008 and the business will continue to grow as we roll-out new products and features throughout 2009. We need to recruit best-in-class individuals to support our partner base and ensure the continued expansion of our business IP network. Griffin is developing products and services for the channel that save their customers money and improve ARPU and margin. Now that MOPS2 is launched we can deliver these new products with the speed and timeliness our partners demand.”

Griffin’s fastest selling product is their ‘agile’ MPLS IPVPN and partners are demanding more support from the sales and pre-sales departments to bid for and close a growing number of multi-site IPVPN opportunities.

Also with the impending roll-out of a host of SaaS applications customer services agents are being recruited and trained to support them.

Dawson continues: “In 2008 we negotiated some great deals with a number of Ethernet and leased line carriers. This has increased demand for these products from our Partners with orders up over 1000% on the last quarter of 2008. Consequently we have had to establish a provisioning department that ensures that leased circuits are ordered and delivered on time.”
