Griffin launches ADSL Failover

Griffin has announced the launch of its automatic ADSL to ADSL Failover product for companies that need a near 100% uptime guarantee on their broadband service. This innovative and inexpensive product is exclusive to the channel and early indications are that SMBs are prepared to pay a significant premium for the increased level of service that it offers.

Until now the only way to get a better response time on ADSL has been to buy Enhanced Care which costs around £10 a month and only guarantees a 20 hour service level agreement from BT Openreach. Manually switching between broadband lines is often impractical as it relies on intervention by the end customer or the reseller sending an engineer to site.

For total resilience ADSL to ADSL Failover uses lines from different broadband operators with Griffin’s intelligent network managing the same IP addresses on both paths.

Andrew Dickinson, Sales and Marketing Director, Griffin Internet commented: “We are not charging our Partners any more than a set up fee for installing the system and our standard price for the broadband lines. They can present the product as a managed service and charge a monthly premium for it.”
