Griffin Internet’s Sales & Marketing Director, Andrew Dickinson raised nearly £4000 for the Arthur Rank Hospice last Thursday by taking part in a white collar boxing match organised by CRN. Dickinson trained hard for 6 months and was in the shape of his life as he entered the ring to face Kevin Moreau from Acronis.
Dickinson looked every part the boxer as he bobbed and weaved through a tough first round watched on by his wife, friends, family and colleagues. The second saw Dickinson receive a standing count for nothing more that a slip misinterpreted by an over cautious referee. Coming out for the third Dickinson looked dangerous connecting with some good shots but the slip in the second cost him dear and the ref raised the hand of Moreau to claim victory.
Speaking with Miles Bossom, Comms Business Publisher at ringside Dickinson said; “I really enjoyed the fight and think I should have won it, but well done to Kevin, he was a good opponent. I am really delighted to have raised so much money for the charity and expect the total to rise following the fight”.
