GSM Based Desk Phones are a Solution to Rising Costs

Networks & Network Services
“This solution addresses key problems being faced by resellers as handset costs and deployment costs are two main barriers to sale for new PBX's at the moment.

A Private Mobile extension is an alternative to a PBX solution with no wires and no need for expensive desk phones. GSM based desk phones can be used if a fixed handset is required but for many office users they will use their existing mobile phone as an extension to the PBX. The economics on this really do stack up. There are cost savings from the use of existing mobile handsets, from the removal of any costs for moves and changes and for the ease of relocation to new premises. The PBX functionality provided is full feature rich IP Telephony and the only additional hardware on the customer premise is the Pico cell.

The coverage issues experienced with WiFi or DECT solutions are resolved by the greater coverage and capacity of the private mobile network. Daisy Mobile has recently deployed this product over one of the first UK Wimax deployments with outstanding results in terms of speed of deployment and voice quality. The number of companies in the UK using private mobile networks to replace or supplement their PBX services is steadily growing with companies such as Saint Gobain and Kemira Water using the solution for in office communications and cost savings.”
