On his first day in the chair at MTV Telecom Harris told Comms Business Magazine, “My task will be to build sales and get a more comprehensive run rate across the entire product portfolio. One particular focus will be my involvement in larger system sales following our appointment as distributor for Avaya’s mid-market MultiVantage Express products.
Harris is also keen to point out that despite the recent takeover of the company by ScanSource, MTV’s core values will be very much at the forefront of future activity.
“Personal service from our account management team is key to building reseller loyalty and it is a tradition at MTV Telecom that will continue. The potential for MTV Telecom to become a much more significant force in distribution both here in the UK and in other territories is an exciting prospect for all those in the company.”

Harris was formerly the Managing Director of Inter-Tel Europe and left the company at the end of January this year following the takeover of the company by Mitel last summer.
With many years experience of developing channels both here and throughout Europe, Harris will be well placed to implement the strategy laid out by his US parent.
