HIGHnet – first Scottish CP past the WLR3 post to ‘Business As Usual’

HIGHnet say they have become the first CP in Scotland, second overall in the UK, to have completed the WLR3 establishment process and go to ’business as usual’. This is an enormous triumph for the Inverness-based CP.

WLR3 has obvious advantages for HIGHnet itself, namely direct and instant access to Openreach’s back office systems and processes, enabling them to pre-qualify orders, transfer and provision lines, directly book, cancel and rebook appointments with Openreach engineers, and much more. This is all done in real time via a single interface, without daily forecasting restrictions. For the first time, resellers can now offer the same customer service as BT.

The benefits carry through to the end-users and channel partners. David J Siegel, HIGHnet Director, commented: “Our investment in WLR3 allows us to raise the bar in terms of service delivery.
