Holiday Time for Wicoms

Wicoms, the enabler of digital services for leisure communities, has announced that it has signed an exclusive agreement to provide wireless connectivity for Butlins, Haven and Warner Holidays, at their resorts across the UK. The Wicoms Platform will deliver digital entertainment, communications and management services to both staff and holidaymakers on-site, creating new revenue opportunities for the leisure operators as well as third party service

(TPS) providers.

Wicoms has already installed ten networks at Butlins and Haven sites around the country. This agreement covers off all the other sites across the UK, representing around 40 additional networks.

Jeremy Pardy, General Manager at Butlins Bognor Regis said, "People want constant internet access, even when they're on holiday, and Butlins strives to update its facilities so that our guests have a great experience on one of our breaks. Wicoms provides the digital entertainment platform that allows us to do just that whilst generating a new source of revenue for the business. Aside from innovative entertainment services, the Wicoms Platform also enables the management of important operational services to help our leisure parks function more efficiently."

The Wicoms Platform aggregates entertainment and communication services from a range of Third Party Service (TPS) providers. As part of the network installations at Butlins, Haven and Warner Holidays, the platform will deliver branded Pay-Go Wi-Fi, operating services such as CCTV, facilities management and cleaning services and entertainment services with a gaming channel.

"Wicoms has negotiated partnerships with some really exciting third party service providers and offers a catalogue of services which can be added on a site-by-site basis to suit the specific needs of each individual network", said Robb Scott, CEO, Wicoms. This deal with Butlins, Haven and Warner Holidays will allow us to showcase the diversity of the Wicoms Platform across a range of sites. We are very excited by the prospect of bringing a rich digital experience to previously unconnected communities."

Once installed, the Wicoms Platform allows users to connect to the network via devices such as laptops and gaming consoles. Customers can access services securely for a small fee, generating revenue for the site owner and service provider. Additionally the venue owners are able to deploy their own CCTV, EPoS and facilities management services on the Wicoms network.

For a low investment cost, Wicoms installs, manages and operates the network over which its digital services platform runs, leaving the community owner to focus on the customer experience and deliver a greater choice of entertainment options.
