HSC first to market with SIM-Free BlackBerry 9105 Pearl 3G

HSC has announced it will be the first distributor to launch the SIM-Free variant of the new BlackBerry Pearl 3G, with exclusive marketing packs for dealers ordering the new device, from Monday 2 August.

HSC is supporting its retail and B2B dealer base with exclusive POS and merchandise packs. These packs are to assist the dealers in ramping up sales of the new Blackberry Pearl 3G devices, which are set to attract both business and consumer users.

The first 140 stockists to order the BlackBerry Pearl 3G SIM-free through HSC will receive an exclusive launch pack with their order. The pack has been exclusively produced for HSC by RIM UK and contains: 9105 – cardboard cut out counter stand; 9105 A4 and A3 posters; 9105 note pads; 9105 DL leaflets; 9105 spec sheets; 9105 – T-shirt; and sweets.

Carlos Pestana, sales manager at HSC, commented on the offer: “All active HSC stockists can pre-order the new BlackBerry 9105 Pearl 3G device SIM-Free in advance of stock arriving on the 2 August. Not only is HSC supporting its dealers with these exclusive launch packs for the new BlackBerry devices, but we are also supporting them with a 48 hour faulty exchange programme, and fully accredited in-house technical support specialists.

“This great offer demonstrates once again that HSC is the only distributor capable of delivering balanced support to both airtime and hardware dealers. By utilising its Carphone Warehouse ownership, HSC is able to draw on POS materials and support merchandise, that other distributors cannot,” he continued.

Pestana added: “HSC and RIM are constantly working together to raise the profile and support available for BlackBerry devices to the independent channel. We want HSC to stand out in the market as the number one BlackBerry distributor in the UK channel. You’re really going to see HSC raise its game with BlackBerry over the next few months. RIM is a fantastic partner for HSC, with beautiful products. We want to make it as easy as possible for our dealers to sell BlackBerry devices.”

HSC is making the BlackBerry 9105 Pearl 3G available to the channel for £235 (excl. VAT).

Measuring less than two inches wide and weighing only 93g, the new BlackBerry Pearl 3G still manages to pack in support for high speed 3G (UMTS/HSDPA) networks, WiFi and GPS, along with a powerhouse 624 Mhz processor with 256 MB Flash memory that drives visually stunning images on the sharp, high resolution display. It also features an optical trackpad for smooth navigation, dedicated volume and media keys for added convenience, a 3.2 megapixel camera with flash for quality pictures on the go, and support for up to 32 GB of personal content.

HSC has had a special relationship with RIM since 2007. It was the first distributor of BlackBerry generic devices in the UK. HSC has exclusively provided the free launch packs on every BlackBerry device launch since the Bold 9000 in Aug 2008.
