HSC has announced its free online training suite of tools, available on yourhsc.com, available to any dealer with a current HSC account. Launched at its annual dealer conference, Bright Days and White Nights on 9 December, the new training tools are designed to help HSC’s dealers understand new products and add further value to their customers.
Customers want email on their mobiles and to be able to tether their laptops to their phones for mobile broadband access anytime, anywhere. With HSC’s online training, the mobile distributor is set to provide dealers with the required knowledge and confidence to help them realise efficiencies within their customer bases, and add additional revenue streams to their businesses.
Antony Board, HSC’s senior technical consultant, commented: “This is about advanced training for our dealers on the latest products and services in the marketplace. We want to help dealers gain additional value from products within their existing portfolio, and make mobile an easy addition for dealers outside of the mobile industry, such as those in IT and fixed line telecoms.”
The online training produced by HSC is more than just a PowerPoint presentation, stated Board. He said HSC’s advanced online training enables dealers to make the choices they want, and the system talks them through each step, from simple jobs like setting up BlackBerry Internet Service on a BlackBerry smartphone, right up to installing and administrating a BlackBerry Enterprise Express Server.
“With our training, you are in control, using consistent environments and tools that you are most likely to come across with your customers,” remarked Board. “It enables us to raise the confidence and knowledge of new products and services becoming available with the progression of smartphone technologies and provide a 24/7 365 days per year training environment. Online training like this also allows our dealers to learn at their own pace, and within their own busy schedules.”
Board added: “This enables HSC to grow its connections by trading with resellers that otherwise would not have provided mobile connectivity for their customer base. We are also able to accelerate the process of introducing new employees to existing dealers and help make them more productive and efficient sooner than would have been previously possible.”
HSC is additionally running new training courses in the New Year, led by Board. The schedule will include: Introduction to Mobile; Webmail setup and application training on the most popular smartphone platforms; and BES Express Installation and Administration.
