HSC takes fixed channel into mobile

HSC is recruiting fixed line resellers to take them into the mobile space, stated Bob Sweetlove, HSC business manager, at Convergence Summit North.

Sweetlove said that HSC is fully prepared to take fixed line resellers and dealers into the mobile space and is focused on making mobile easy. The mobile specialist distributor, owned by Carphone Warehouse, is a multi-network, multi-manufacturer business focused on providing independent resellers and dealers with choice.

“We’ve been selling into the mobile channel since 1994,” commented Sweetlove. “By joining with us, we allow fixed line resellers to add a whole category to their customer pitch. Customers will benefit from getting both fixed and mobile services from the same reseller, and resellers can claim back a lot of the business they are currently losing to mobile by getting in on this act; people in offices are picking up their mobile phones before their desktop landlines.”

Sweetlove explained that HSC gives its partners the opportunity to become a one stop shop. “Business people want everything – voice, data and office applications – on their mobile phones. We’re giving resellers the opportunity to take advantage of those smartphone opportunities by offering them a simple entry into the mobile sector.”

HSC offers its channel partners a 40% margin on the mobile bill, while offering training, technical support and yourhsc.com, its dealer portal. Additionally, fixed line resellers can go to the HSC stand here at Convergence Summit North to sign up to a free training course that will provide an introduction to mobile, to be held soon in Manchester at a Carphone Warehouse shop.
