HTC Hero answers the call of Carphone Warehouse

The Carphone Warehouse has announced it will be the exclusive retailer of the new HTC Hero in Mocha and Pink, the first device to be sold through Carphone Warehouse since it signed a direct distribution agreement with HTC.

The HTC Hero will be available free on contract from August and offers the ultimate in personalised functionality with a huge array of content and design options to choose from.

This latest phone from HTC uses sophisticated software to provide users with a completely unique experience, catering specifically to their individual needs. The 3.2 inch touchscreen and wide array of widgets and shortcuts allow the user to bring their preferred content to the surface. Whether it be Twitter, email, text messages, the day’s weather, photos or music content, the most important information is available at a glance.

Favourite applications never need to be more than a touch away and thanks to Scenes, a new profile feature, users can further tailor their experience according to where they are and what they are doing. For example, the home screens of a weekend scene can feature completely different shortcuts and widgets from a work scene, allowing users to switch between scenes easily to access the information and functionality which is most useful to them at that time. With up to six different scenes available, people can truly make the device their own.

Taking personalisation further than ever before, even the designs and sizes of the widgets available with the HTC Hero can be adapted to cater for every personal taste. In addition, a huge array of applications can be downloaded from the Android Market for even more functionality and entertainment on the move.
