Hyland Software has announced the release of OnBase 5.0, the latest version of the company’s flagship Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software suite. OnBase 5.0 features new collaboration and e-mail archiving functionality, significant enhancements to its core electronic document management capabilities, as well as new vertical applications specifically tailored for healthcare providers and financial services institutions.
“OnBase 5.0 represents our ongoing commitment to build a complete – and completely integrated – suite of ECM applications,” said A.J. Hyland, president and chief executive officer of Hyland Software. “The new modules and enhancements to our core capabilities are designed to address priority issues facing businesses and government agencies today, including giving knowledge workers practical, easy-to-use tools to control costs and sustain regulatory compliance without undermining their ability to create ongoing value for their customers and constituents.”
Last month, Hyland Chief Technology Officer Miguel Zubizarreta offered a sneak preview of OnBase 5.0 to an audience of 60 OnBase European User Group members, comprised of OnBase customers and partners across Europe, at The Carlton Tower Hotel in London, England.
“Honda Finance Europe is reassured by the fact that, as the business climate changes on a seemingly daily basis, OnBase is adapting to these changes in a timely fashion,” said Michael Brown, business analyst at Honda Finance Europe, a Hyland customer. “Meetings such as these confirm that Honda Finance Europe has purchased an enterprise document management solution that is continually evolving to meet business needs in an innovative and creative manner.”
Hyland currently has more than 150 customers and 20 partners in European countries, such as the United Kingdom, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Sweden, France, Spain, Belgium, Finland and Ireland.
