ICON Expands WiFi Solutions Portfolio

ICON has expanded its WiFi solutions capability with the inclusion of the guest internet access and hotspot solutions from Nomadix.

Nomadix guest internet access and hotspot solutions give a business the tools it needs to generate revenue and manage, secure, and control guest internet access over wired and wireless networks. Aimed at the hospitality, education, and business verticals the Nomadix solutions scale from a small business up to a large enterprise.

The Nomadix solutions will be particularly welcome by channel partners targeting the hospitality vertical where demand by business travellers for WiFi access has meant that hotels are re-inventing themselves as “offices away from the office”.

Mark Shane, sales director at ICON commented “With Nomadix solutions in our portfolio we can provide channel partners with a complete solutions package for their hospitality and business customers.

We can deliver not only the tools to deploy and manage revenue earning guest internet access and hotspot services but also WiFi infrastructure and voice & data workflow solutions.

That gives us a unique place in the channel. ICON is one of the few distributors able to supply a complete WiFi solutions package backed up with end to end technical and sales support “

Mark added “The growing smartphone and tablet culture is driving demand for internet access everywhere. By partnering with Nomadix ICON is able to support those channel partners wanting to enter this lucrative market with a solution which is acknowledged to be a world leader in guest internet access.”

Fred Reeder, chief commercial and operating officer of Nomadix, commented “To address the growing demands for bandwidth, it is important that organizations be armed with robust solutions to service and manage that bandwidth demand. Our range of products heeds that call. We are pleased to leverage ICON’s strong channel presence to expand our reach and ultimately provide an affordable and powerful solution to enable businesses of all sizes to create a rich brand experience for their guests.”
