Ignition Technology has signed a distribution agreement with SailPoint Technologies, provider of enterprise identity governance, becoming its first value-add distribution partner in the UK. The agreement gives UK channel partners access to SailPoint’s open identity platform and leading identity-aware solutions including IdentityNow (cloud-based identity governance); IdentityIQ (on-premise identity governance) and SecurityIQ (which helps enterprises govern access to files).
“This is a significant signing for Ignition and represents a fantastic opportunity for our channel partners to work with a recognised market leader in one of the fastest growth areas of security,” commented Sean Remnant, Chief Strategy Officer at Ignition Technology. “According to Verizon’s latest data breach report a staggering 81% of cyber-attacks are credentials based, making identity assurance one of the hottest technology areas for enterprise security. Adding SailPoint’s identity management solutions to our portfolio creates tremendous synergies with our existing market-leading vendors and reflects our growing reputation as the go to partner for fast-growth, disruptive, services-oriented cybersecurity vendors targeting market acceleration in the UK.”
The new partnership represents an opportunity for the UK channel and will enable Ignition’s partners to address one of the fastest-growing sectors for cybersecurity solutions and services. According to research from MarketsandMarkets, revenue is set to grow from USD 8.09 Billion in 2016 to USD 14.82 Billion by 2021 (CAGR 12.9%) and analyst firm IDC, forecast it to be one of the strongest growth areas in cybersecurity, second only to the endpoint security market.
“We are pleased to appoint Ignition as our first UK distribution partner to help us provide best-in-class identity solutions to our collective customers in the region,” said Harry Gould, VP WW Alliances & Channels at SailPoint.
“Ignition’s service-driven philosophy and value-added mentality, together with an impressive track record in helping innovative cyber security vendors penetrate and accelerate market momentum in the UK made them the obvious partner for us. Their intimate knowledge, relationship and understanding of the needs of their channel partners, combined with a deep understanding of new technology trends, IT consumption models and business drivers within the enterprise market sets them apart. We’re looking forward to a mutually beneficial relationship.”
