Ignition takes identity management solutions from Okta

Ignition Technology today announced it has struck a value-added distribution agreement with enterprise identity management leader Okta for the UK and Nordics regions.

The agreement provides reseller partners with a compelling proposition to enterprise customers facing one of the major challenges around digital transformation – how to securely connect and manage people and technology – with a complete ecosystem-led approach.

“The whole identity market – combining identity access governance (IAG), access management (IAM), privileged access management (PAM) and authentication – is a massive opportunity worth $48bn over the next 3 years and it’s being driven by enterprises’ thirst for digital transformation and cloud,” said Sean Remnant, Chief Strategy Officer at Ignition Technology. “Partners can’t expect to tap into that demand without a strong proposition around identity. Customers have moved on from traditional perimeter solutions and partners need to stay relevant. The Okta Identity Platform is now a key part of our solution set to enable success and perfectly complements many of our existing vendors like SailPoint.”

Okta’s decision to add Ignition as a VAD partner reflects its mission to extend an already solid presence in the UK, with a key focus on the large enterprise sector. In the Nordics, Ignition will be more oriented towards rapidly establishing a market foothold for Okta, as well as increasing its presence.

“We are working as one team with Okta in the Nordics region, adding scale to its regional capabilities as we rapidly accelerate market penetration and activate deal opportunities among the large enterprise sector,” said Mikko Vaajamo, Managing Director of Ignition NEUR. “Okta has a clear channel-committed strategy and we are seeing good engagement via our partners with customers who have been early adopters of SaaS and cloud and need identity solutions to keep pace with their digital transformations.”

“In our search for prospective VAD partners, we were deeply impressed both by Ignition’s portfolio credentials and by the knowledge and business approach of their people in the UK and Nordics,” said Nick Miles, Director Regional Alliances EMEA, Okta. “The plan is for Ignition to help us take identity even more mainstream, and the early signs of our collaboration are already promising. At Okta, partners are at the centre of what we do and we believe that together we can offer seamless and secure user experiences to every organisation. The uniqueness of our technology is how it can be applied to both customer and workforce identity, and slot right into any enterprise identity requirement. The Okta Identity Platform is neutral and the ideal complement to many of Ignition’s vendor solutions in the identity governance, authentication and related domains.”
