Imago Group Boosts Technical Capability with New Appointments

Imago Group, the video communications distributor, is strengthening its technical support division with the appointment of two new experts in the provision of video over networks.

The company says Dominic Stevens, who previously worked at Cisco, and Martin Finlayson who comes to Imago from former roles at Viewcast and Nortel are highly experienced engineers whose roles will be to provide pre-sales planning, integration advice and post-sales support to resellers and their customers to ensure the proposed video solution and systems architecture will meet the most exacting requirements.

“Delivering video successfully over the network is a challenge,” says Andy Wright, Managing Director of Impromp2u, the managed services division of Imago Group. “We are experiencing greater demand for help with specifying and installing solutions than ever before, and all customers want to introduce new technology that will also maximise their existing infrastructure. The combination of Dominic’s experience with networks and Martin’s knowledge of video solutions creates a very strong technical support and advice team.”

Imago’s channel of reseller partners will be able to make use of Imago’s new team, which will be based at the Thatcham, Berkshire office, by offering their expertise under the reseller’s own banner. This provides a further opportunity to add margin on to an existing sale and deliver added value to the customer.

Impromp2u, which was formed in August 2002, provides managed services to the reseller community. Resellers use Impromp2u to supplement their own skill sets and services portfolio to develop new business opportunities that they were not previously able to. Impromp2u primarily focuses on video conferencing, streaming and communications and works with resellers of all sizes across the UK.
