Ingram Micro can now offer a greater range of mid-market on-premise and cloud-based storage solutions to its customers with the addition of NetApp.
“NetApp’s high-performance, workload centric solutions enable business and market traction for our channel partners as technologies extend from large enterprise to the small and mid-sized business environment. Following the intense investment we have made into skilling up our dedicated Advanced Solutions sales team we can support customer growth in this sector around NetApp’s storage portfolio,” said Julian Thompson, senior director of Advanced Solutions, Ingram Micro UK.
“With the addition of NetApp’s data management platform solutions, Ingram Micro is expanding the addressable market for our channel partners and enabling them to build scalable, cost-effective, dedicated or shared infrastructure solutions that fit the evolving technical and business needs of their clients. To support this further we will be making NetApp training available both live and online to our channel partners,” he continued.
This expansion will bring to UK SMB and mid-market partners NetApp’s storage data management portfolio featuring e.g.:
•NetApp EF550, all-flash array for latency-sensitive data, database, and business-critical application
•NetApp E2700 and E2600 SAN arrays, the optimal price/performance solutions for SMB environment, and the E5500 and E5400 SAN arrays, delivering performance, density, and modular flexibility for data-intensive workloads
These NetApp data management solutions are ideal for mission-critical IT applications such as virtualization, cloud, and databases, as well as for specific workloads for physical security, content management, and data analytics.
“Ingram Micro’s deep and broad relationships with its SMB focused network of VARs and Service Providers will be vital to NetApp’s expansion into mid-market environments in Europe,” said Thomas Ehrlich, VP Partners and Pathways EMEA at NetApp. “Our proven E-Series enterprise storage systems combine operational efficiency, performance and high availability with full flexibility to address even the most demanding storage requirements. Working throughout Ingram Micro Europe, we will be able to aid our SMB focused channel partners’ efforts to respond quickly to changing business needs and eliminate the overprovisioning of people, time, and money.”
Utilizing Ingram Micro’s vast experience and extensive network of VARs and Service Providers, the agreement furthers NetApp’s strategy of partnering to deliver the functionality and value of Enterprise Data Management Solutions to the Mid-Market cost effectively. Ingram Micro will recruit, enable, and support channel partners to represent NetApp storage solutions in Europe. Ingram Micro’s Advanced Solutions Division will provide its partners with pre-sales technical support, field-based business development resources, demand generation centric enablement programs, technical and product training, and sales and marketing toolkits.
“Ingram Micro UK is pleased to bring these NetApp solutions to market. Our channel partners are continually expanding their solutions portfolio and their technical expertise in order to help meet the storage, security, and compliance needs of the end-customer. The E-Series portfolio of NetApp is an ideal complementary addition to our channel partners’ portfolio, allowing them to take advantage of existing software and networking vendor partnerships, and generating incremental business with end-customers,” concluded Thompson.
