Ingram Micro today announced that it is expanding its portfolio of 3D imaging and technology solutions in the EMEA region with the addition of professional 3D scanning products from FARO.
FARO 3D scanner products on offer through Ingram Micro ensure resellers can provide a solution that meets the requirements of all applications for mid-range users up to professionals. The addition of FARO products provides an opportunity for resellers to look at new business prospects with their current and new customers by offering a range of 3D solutions for projects and applications of all levels of complexity.
“There are a variety of applications for 3D scanners and their usage is on the increase” explains Rudolf Ehrmanntraut, senior manager, business management 3D Technology Solutions at Ingram Micro. “Up until now we have offered scanners up to €3,000 price mark. With the addition of FARO to our portfolio, we have gained a powerful partner which offers our resellers the opportunity to target the professional sector.”
FARO’s Focus3D series includes a laser scanner for fast and accurate measurements in indoor and outdoor applications. Objects can be measured in three dimensions and it comes in three versions with ranges of 30m, 130m or 330m. With distance accuracies of +/- 2mm on the entire range, the Focus3D series devices guarantee detailed scan results; both with the highest color and data quality. The devices are suited for use in the fields of architecture, engineering and construction.
