Ingram Micro Increases Skills in Response to Channel

Ingram Micro has made significant investment in developing its services team with an increased level of certification across key vendors. Reseller enablement activities to support this development will include technical workshops, bootcamps and webinars scheduled for the remainder of Q3 and into Q4.

General Manager of Ingram Micro’s Services team, Apay Obang-Oyway commented: “In line with economic trends in the channel, we are constantly driving our services business by focusing on maintaining the highest level of technical qualification in order to deliver outstanding support to our partners.

“We play a pivotal role in providing channel leading services, through our best-of-breed vendor portfolio accreditation accomplishments, which include Adobe, Cisco, Emerson Rack & Power, HP, Microsoft, ShoreTel and Symantec.”

Ingram Micro’s services business comprises professional services including pre-sales advice, asset discovery and management, managed services which includes configuration, desktop support, and cloud services.

Apay Obang-Oyway continued: “Each area of our services divisions has dedicated teams of highly qualified technicians aligned to support our reseller partner community. Roles include pre-sales technical consultancy, technology business development, technical sales specialisation and inbound cloud sales support. Right across all teams, our people are experienced at carrying out complex projects. Our standardised and highly effective approach ensures we are able to scope and deliver to our customers every time. Our embedded culture demands quality in the pursuit of customer satisfaction.”

He concluded: “Accreditations currently held by our teams include Cisco CCIE, CCNP, CCDA and CCNA, as well as, Microsoft MCP, VMWare ESX VCP and HP Storage PSP. We have a perpetual training plan in place to allow us to constantly challenge our channel peers on service excellence and technical expertise. This continual training and education allows us to consistently deliver to our customers the value-added support they require to help them grow their businesses profitably.”
