Ingram Recognised by Cisco

Distributors
Ingram Micro (UK) has been named Cisco’s number one distributor for its Enterprise Networking Group.

The award, presented to Ingram Micro at Cisco’s EMEAR Distribution Forum in Madrid recently is based on an impressive 12 months on Cisco sales. Highlights receiving particular praise included year on year 2T growth of 36% and 42% SMB growth year on year which has out-performed market growth by 360%.

Head of Category for Datacentre, Infrastructure and Networking at Ingram Micro, Daniel Maynard (pictured) commented: “This award serves as validation of the hard work and execution by the Cisco team in engaging with Cisco Premier, Select and Registered partners.

He continued: “This increased customer touch has been enabled through focused investment made over the last year, particularly the implementation of Cisco certified training for our associates within our Advanced Solutions Division. As a result of this focus on training, Ingram Micro’s UK sales operation staff now hold a comprehensive range of Cisco qualifications and these enhanced skills are playing a relevant role in helping Cisco partners compete and win in the mid-market and SMB marketplaces.”

Andy Brocklehurst, Regional Sales Manager for Distribution, DMR & Velocity at Cisco said: “I was delighted to see Ingram Micro UK win this award as a result of its continued investment in its Cisco business over the past 18 months. Firstly, Ingram Micro gained the new distribution accreditations, and then increased its technical and sales capability in this critical area of Enterprise networking which encompasses our core technologies of routing, switching and wireless. The award was testament to both the investment and dedication Ingram Micro in the UK have made to growing Cisco’s business.”
