Slough based Intact Integrated Services has been selected as the sole Cisco Advanced Services partner for the deployment of Cisco Network Admission Control (NAC) technology in Europe. Intact has invested significantly in Cisco NAC technology and testing resources as well as internal NAC skills and training. The company will serve as a powerful local NAC resource and centre of expertise for Cisco partners in their rollout of solutions based on the NAC framework.
The announcement builds on Intact Integrated Services’ position as the only Cisco Services Extension Partner combining full lifecycle services with a clear focus on Cisco Advanced Technology. Intact’s combination of business consultancy skills, deep Cisco Advanced Technology expertise and practical implementation skills mean that the company is ideally positioned to equip Cisco’s partners, systems integrators, telcos and service providers with all the skills they need to sell, design and deliver even the most complex NAC solutions.
“Cisco’s NAC is an extremely powerful security solution that, with effective design and implementation, can result in proactive and pervasive security throughout an organisation. As such it represents a significant opportunity for the Cisco partner community, but one which is initially daunting because of the high degree of local expertise partners need to implement NAC effectively,” commented Bob Dalton, Managing Director of Intact Integrated Services. “Cisco clearly recognised the need for a specialist partner to support this important technology, and we’re delighted that they again have recognised Intact’s commitment to Cisco Advanced Technology solutions, and acknowledged the important role that we play in delivering advanced services and Services Extension support to the broader Cisco channel community.
“We’ve got a proven track record in helping partners build business solutions based on Cisco’s most advanced technologies, and because we never deal directly with end-user clients, our NAC skills and resources mean we can help the growing number of local Cisco partners who want to expand their portfolio into higher value advanced technology solutions such as NAC,” he continued.
Cisco’s NAC fundamentally changes how security is implemented because it allows comprehensive security policies to be translated into actionable rules that can be reliably enforced – resulting in proactive and pervasive security across an organisation. NAC accomplishes this by adopting a scalable architecture with a central policy decision component, a distributed security enforcement component at the network level, and extensive integration with additional security products and technologies.
