Inter-Tel Addresses Lack of Telecoms Skills in Local Businesses

The Academy, Inter-Tel’s Midlands based European training centre, has announced plans to offer its programme of specialised telecoms training to local businesses in the Northamptonshire area

As Internet telephony becomes more widespread in businesses, and telecoms systems become more complex, Inter-Tel is increasingly aware of the need for small and medium-sized business owners to train their IT managers to best harness new technologies. The Academy aims to harness 30 years of telecoms experience, and will utlitise its brand new Northampton premises to offer low-cost, high-quality courses.

The Academy is well known within the industry for its telecoms training programme and was awarded ‘Best Training Operation’ at the Comms Channel Awards in 2005. New additions to its course prospectus include the Cisco Certified Network Associate certification (CCNA) and the Convergence Technologies Professional (CTP) qualifications.

“Any IT manager will tell you that an effective communications system is vital to the smooth running of any company,” said Stuart Clark, director, The Academy.

“CTP and CCNA are essential qualifications for any IT professional working in today’s modern business environment. In conjunction with CTP courseware designers ProSoft, the Academy can offer high quality courses at very competitive prices.”

“Our aim is to maintain the high standard and hands-on approach of our specialist training programme, while moving into a wider industry field,” continued Clark. “We have excellent facilities here at The Academy and I hope this will be the first of many developments bringing Inter-Tel’s business expertise to the local business community.”
