Interactive Telecoms Complete Appointments of New Sales Team

Birmingham based telecommunications reseller, Interactive Telecoms, says it has blended youth and experience by appointing a seven-strong sales team of graduates and industry specialists, to work in its new sales division.

Graduates Fahmeda Ahmed, Apui Lailung, Adeel Akram and Summaya Ahmed, and ex-Genesis Communications employee Phil Forbes will be joining established team member Dharmendra Jadeja (DJ), and Sales Manager Neil Jelley, to create the new sales division.

The four graduates have been welcomed into permanent sales roles after initially being enrolled as part of the firm’s Graduate Recruitment Programme which was launched last year in conjunction with Graduate Advantage.

Phil Forbes joined Interactive Telecommunications after eight years experience in the telecommunications industry, where he worked as a Business Development Manager for BT Local Business selling phone solutions for partners such as AVAYA and Mitel, and at Genesis Communications working in corporate sales of mobile solutions.

Existing team member DJ has worked as a Cisco Account Manager specialising in network and cabling solution and has over 15 years in the IT channel, with specialist experience in IT distribution, IT vendor channel and IT reseller channel.

Neil Jelley, Sales Manager at Interactive Telecoms said “Investing in a strong sales team is crucial for the future of the business, and the creation of the new team will help to drive us forward as a business.

“By appointing a mix of graduates and those with previous industry experience, Interactive Telecoms will be in the optimum position to offer the best possible service to our customers.”

Interactive Telecoms chose to recruit graduates in a bid to invest in the future talent of the industry, which they felt was lacking in the young skills set.

“By combining these graduates with those who have previous experience, the sales team will be well equipped to handle all enquiries, as well as strengthening the sector talent.” added Jelley.

It is hoped the new sales team will raise the profile of the business by positioning them as leaders in the telecoms field.

The appointments follow Interactive Telecoms’ partnership with internship provider Graduate Advantage, which was developed in a bid to support its regional programme and create 10 new Graduate Sales positions over the next six months.
