Intercept IT appoints Two New Directors

Intercept IT, the UK cloud computing and virtualisation service provider, has announced the appointment of Benjamin Turner as Chief Technology Officer and Ron Grevink as Marketing Director.

"Intercept IT has been at the forefront of on-demand application delivery for almost a decade. No other UK cloud service provider has anything like this pedigree and experience, and I'm excited to be a part of a great technical team," says Turner about his new role.

Turner spent his early career at Accenture focusing on the business transformation of blue-chip companies in utilities, telecommunications, retail banking, financial markets and professional services. He has more recently applied his expertise to take ambitious, smaller technology companies through the challenges of rapid growth. In his last role as Chief Operating Officer of Adapt Group Benjamin reinvented a low-value reseller into a value-added technology managed service provider. This earned it a place in The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 for three consecutive years, with the company winning the listing's Best Management Team award in 2008.

Grevink also looks forward to starting his new role saying, “I am excited to be joining such an enthusiastic and experienced team who are the backbone of this true leader in the cloud and virtualisation arena. Intercept IT is a veteran in the industry providing customers with the best service and expertise while being at the cutting edge of application delivery.”

Grevink brings more than 25 years of product marketing and pre-sales experience in the IT industry. Prior to joining Intercept IT, Grevink was Vice President of Marketing for RES Software, where he successfully managed international marketing activities that helped to turn the company into a well-known, global organisation. Prior to that, Grevink held product marketing positions at Attachmate and WRQ.

Intercept IT says it was the first service provider in the UK to launch a completely bespoke cloud hosted application delivery service back in 2002 and now provides a complete suite of online services through its own UK infrastructure and support teams.
