Interoute Appoints Telco Veteran as Executive Vice President

International telecoms veteran, Jan Louwes, has today joined Interoute as its Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing from Forrester Research where he was responsible for EMEA sales and support organisations

With over 18 years’ experience in the international ICT service industry, Louwes brings a wealth of expertise to Interoute, spanning strategic, financial, sales and relationship management and business development. This experience will be invaluable as Interoute aims to double its revenue within the next three years and increase market share in the enterprise sector.

Louwes has an impressive track record in the telecoms sector. He held various corporate and wholesale senior management positions at KPN and KPNQwest; between 2002 and 2005 he was responsible for KPN’s International corporate and wholesale data business and sales support organisation. This experience is particularly relevant for the Interoute business model. His experience will also contribute towards further establishing Interoute’s presence in the emerging markets of “new Europe”.

Louwes is a well-qualified addition to the Interoute team, and is tasked with bolstering Interoute’s year-on-year sales success. He has had spells with AT&T Business Communications Services in various management functions, including a three year assignment in the USA with AT&T and AT&T-Unisource Prior to this Louwes spent seven years with ABN AMRO in various positions, including general and corporate finance functions.
