Invosys has announced the acquisition of Atrium Telecom. The company said this was a strategic move designed to enhance the Invosys product suite, its technology capabilities and customer offerings.

Atrium Telecom is an independent telecoms company providing installation and maintenance services to partners throughout the UK, working for some of the UKs leading telecoms companies and manufacturers including Avaya & Panasonic.

Barry Tuffs (pictured above, left), managing director of Atrium, will join Invosys as sales and marketing director. He previously spent a number of years leading the UK channel for Avaya and Unify. Tuffs explained, “We're excited to be working with such a forward-looking company with ambitious plans for growth. We know that our partnership with Invosys will revolutionise the telecoms channel.”

Invosys said that, in the short term, customers can expect the same support and solutions from both companies. In the long term, each company's solutions and expertise will be integrated to offer all customers an even greater level of service. The two companies already share several joint customers, and say they have similar core values of leading from the front and delivering on promises.

Peter Crooks (pictured above, right), chief operating officer, Invosys, added, “This is a huge step forward on the Invosys journey, taking us to yet another level. It’s a fantastic great deal for all involved, with significant value not just for Invosys and the Atrium shareholders, but also to staff and customers who will hugely benefit from further investment in the business.”

Invosys has been operating since 2006 and has developed its own technologies in-house. It offers a cloud comms platform and call logic software, with a focus on high-quality customer experience.
