Ipanema Technologies has announced it has been positioned for the fourth consecutive year in the “Visionaries” quadrant of the 2014 Gartner’s “Magic Quadrant for WAN Optimization”.
“Companies accelerate their push toward more efficiency and agility, driving the take-up of unified communications and collaboration, SaaS, public cloud and Big Data. Employee-driven BYOD, social media and video are also promoting the public Internet within the enterprise. Digitalization initiatives like zero-paper, real-time marketing, digital signage and on-line experts increase the business performance dependency on application performance.
Enterprise applications require more than classical acceleration. The increasing complexity drives the shift from pure WAN Optimization solutions towards solutions that provide full control of the rich application portfolio in a hybrid environment” explained Jim Darragh, CEO of Ipanema Technologies.
Darragh continued, “At the same time, there is a strong attraction from enterprises to outsource the management of this increasingly complex application network. This drives a powerful trend towards WAN Optimization Services (WOS) and multiplies opportunities for Service Providers to expand their application aware services.”
Darragh concluded, “At Ipanema, we’ve anticipated these trends and leverage our technical foundations (autonomic networking and objective-based performance management). Using our unique technology, our ecosystem of global and local partners delivers added-value services that provide global control and guarantee application performance over large and complex enterprise networks.”
