Iridiacom Dealer Day ‘Old and New’

Iridiacom, the Hertfordshire based VoIP Distributor held their sixth Dealer Day last month at Moor Park Golf Club in Rickmansworth. The day saw Iridiacom renew their relationship with Telrad Connegy and launch the AdvanceIP VoIP Business System as well as new products from IP Gear including an SMS Server, new VoIP/GSM gateways and the Portico TVA legacy SIP handset gateway from Citel.

There were a number of guest speakers in attendance, Avi Alali VP Sales for Telrad Connegy EMEA Region and Liat Elkayam Sales Director flew in from Israel, specifically to re-launch the AdvanceIP range, also in attendance was Morin Dahan from IP Gear who was updating the resellers on new VoIP and GSM gateways as well as a new SMS Server. Citel Technologies sent Sally Gill to talk about the Citel Portico TVA gateways that enable new technology VoIP Systems to make use of legacy hardware such as TDM based keyphones from manufacturers including Nortel, Avaya, NEC, Panasonic etc.

The day was not all ‘death by PowerPoint’ as the afternoon was open to the golfers attending to play on the Moor Park golf course and the afternoon went well and not too many balls were lost. The history behind Moor Park is a colourful story of bygone eras, dating back to the 17th Century. The doors have been opened to Archbishops, Kings and Queens, Peers of the Realms and regiments of the Armed Forces. The Mansion House is set amongst 300 acres of mature woodland and finest Hertfordshire parkland featuring two Championship golf courses.

Alan Doyle MD of Iridiacom commented ‘We were very pleased with the attendance and it was nice to see so many ‘old’ faces who have rejoined us to sell the AdvanceIP system, in the presentations by Avi Alali and Liat Elkayam we were given a clear understanding of the product roadmap and how the acquisition of Zultys Technologies fits into the overall company strategy, we are looking forward to launching the many new developments in the coming months’.

The presentation from Morin Dahan was also well received with the new Multi SIM VoIP/GSM gateways receiving a lot of attention as well as the new SMS Server that will allow users to send and receive SMS messages using the IP Gear GSM gateways. Sally Gill presented the Portico TVA gateways and demonstrated the benefits of being able to implement VoIP but retain much of the Legacy Hardware used with existing TDM PBX systems.

Avi Alali from Telrad Connegy said ‘It was a very successful day for us all and from the personal feedback I received it is obvious we made the correct decision to return to Iridiacom as our UK Distributor and we are looking forward to working with them again as Alan and his team will provide superb Sales and Technical Support. We have many new product plans in place and we need an excellent Distributor to deliver them to the UK Market Place’

Iridiacom will now be running sales and technical training for all the new products launched.
