ITP helps telecom businesses onto Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme

The Institute of Telecommunications Professionals (ITP) is offering telecoms businesses a special membership package to help them become a supplier for the government’s Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme.

The purpose of the scheme is to increase the speed of deployment of full fibre networks within the UK, and to encourage suppliers to invest in gigabit capable services.

The criteria to become a supplier suggests that all businesses who apply should be a member of a recognised industry telecoms trade body.

“With £67m available to small businesses to upgrade their networks, this is a fantastic development opportunity for many suppliers” says Crissi Williams, CEO of the ITP. “Our Corporate Associate package will allow potential suppliers to meet the criteria, and still benefit from the advantages of being a member of the ITP.”

Corporate Associateship offers suppliers invitations to exclusive ITP events and seminars, contributions to its member publications, branding on the website and the opportunity to showcase products to members.
