JT Group acquires Worldstone

The JT Group has today announced the acquisition of Worldstone for an undisclosed sum. JT is a Tier One full-service global consumer and business enterprise provider based in the Channel Islands, with more than 110 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry. It has now acquired Worldstone, a global provider of Managed Services including voice, data, network and contact centre solutions.

With presence and partnerships in more than 110 countries worldwide, the acquisition of Worldstone opens up implementation, management and support facilities for JT customers in the UK and many other global locations across Europe, Asia and the US. So meaning the JT Group will be able to further support its customers wherever they are, or choose to expand. Equally, Worldstone customers will benefit from JT’s diverse product portfolio, support infrastructure and innovative services such as the high-speed fibre broadband ecosystem marketed as “JT Lab” and delivered through JT’s world-leading Gigabit Jersey project.

The combined headcount of JT Group will now be in the region of 500 people with a global customer base in excess of 2,000 enterprise clients, thereby creating a major new force in the global telecommunications market.
